What the press says about Mimosa: Into the Bloom, trojmiasto.pl and Wyborcza

10 October 2026

In short: Mimosa has been written about by trojmiasto.pl (a review in the "Jemy na mieście" series, 28 June 2024, and a round-up of autumn drinks, 10 October 2026), Gazeta Wyborcza Trójmiasto and the English-language blog Into the Bloom (a list of breakfast places in Gdańsk, November 2025). Here is a single place with those publications and what they say about the restaurant.

Into the Bloom – "9 Top Places to Have Breakfast in Gdańsk (Chosen by a Local)"

Into the Bloom is an English-language travel blog by a Gdańsk local. The breakfast guide was published on 22 November 2025 and updated in February 2026. Mimosa has its own section (ul. Chrobrego 79b).

The author writes that Mimosa had been on her list for a long time, but she kept postponing it because the place is not the easiest to reach by public transport. She finally went for breakfast with friends on a Saturday morning and describes no queues, reasonable prices and very good food. They also shared a pastry filled with custard, apple and cinnamon. She adds that the restaurant serves lunch and dinner too, and that everything she has heard about it is positive.

Getting here, which the author mentioned: it is about a 10-minute walk from the SKM Gdańsk Zaspa station, there are tram and bus stops on Chrobrego (Kliniczna / Hallera), and we have four free guest parking spaces at the neighbouring Orlen station (numbers 41–44). Details on our Contact page.

trojmiasto.pl – "Jemy na mieście: niemal bezbłędna Mimosa w Gdańsku"

The review in the "Jemy na mieście" ("We eat in the city") series was written by Agnieszka Haponiuk and published on 28 June 2024 in the food section of trojmiasto.pl, the main Tricity news portal. It is in Polish.

What the author describes:

  • The interior – pastel, in the style of 1970s Italian eateries: sand-coloured walls, burnt sienna, gold details, apricot terracotta and a small marble bar. She also mentions the garden.
  • Dishes she praised – creamy feta with pistachios, ricotta and sage gnocchi, and tartare Piedmont-style. She singled out the sauce served with the mussels.
  • Critical remarks – the oyster mushrooms were weaker than the other dishes, and the mussels were slightly overcooked.

It is a review, not advertising, which is why we like to share it. Our menu changes with the seasons, so not every dish described there is on it today. The current menu includes the Piedmont-style tartare (56 PLN) and creamy feta with beetroot and pistachios (32 PLN). The hours in that article are out of date: breakfast is now served daily from 9:00 to 14:30.

trojmiasto.pl – "Nie tylko pumpkin spice latte. Jesienne nowości w trójmiejskich kawiarniach"

This round-up ("Not just pumpkin spice latte. Autumn novelties in Tricity cafés") was written by Aleksandra Wrona and published on 10 October 2026 in the food section of trojmiasto.pl. It is an overview of autumn drinks in Tricity cafés (coffee, tea, infusions, matcha) rather than a restaurant review, and it is in Polish. Mimosa appears in three sections, together with our bakery Mimosa Wajdeloty (ul. Wajdeloty 17). According to the article, with prices as of publication day:

  • Coffee – Latte Lotus with cardamom and Biscoff cream (29 PLN) at Chrobrego, and a cherry & cinnamon latte (23 PLN) at Wajdeloty.
  • Infusions – pear infusion with honey, mint and chilli (23 PLN), sea buckthorn infusion with grapefruit juice, anise and rosemary (34 PLN), and a rooibos latte with honey and cinnamon (21 PLN). The rooibos latte is also at Wajdeloty, which additionally serves an immunity infusion with turmeric, ginger and citrus (13 PLN).
  • Matcha – pistachio matcha (29 PLN) at Chrobrego, and a high-protein lavender matcha and a cherry & cinnamon matcha (26 PLN each) at Wajdeloty.

Seasonal drinks change, so check the current menu.

Gazeta Wyborcza Trójmiasto

The Tricity edition of Gazeta Wyborcza also published a piece about our restaurant in Wrzeszcz (in Polish).
